Green Jadeite Jade Cabochon Diamond Ring Modernist 14K Gold 1970s Geometric Fine
A one of a kind mid century circa 1970 hand made solid 14K white gold engagement or cocktail ring set with sparkling fine white diamonds and natural earth mined vivid green precious jadeite jade. This vintage green jadeite and diamond ring is sizable to any size required and is currently a size 5 1/2 US. The precious jade and diamond cluster at the top of the ring measures approximately 13/16" long by 5/8" wide by 1/2 high (20mm x 16mm x 12mm).
Every section of this ring is completely handmade with no cast or machined components. This is something you just don't see in modern jewelry. To make the cluster would take around 20 hours of a master jewelers time. The work in this ring is of exceptional quality. In total it weighs 7.82 grams.
Inside the shank it is marked 14K 585 There are 12 2.1 mm single cut F/G color VS/SI fine white earth mined sparkly diamonds which are grain set in this ring. These stones have been set by hand by a master diamond setter and each weigh approximately 3.5 points.
The total diamond weight is 0.42 carats. In addition to these sparkly diamonds there are 5 natural green jadeite jade cabochons each measuring on average 4.5mm by 4.5mm by 1.7 mm and weighing on average each 30 points as estimated in the setting. These fine precious stones are beautifully matched for color and are translucent.
The total jade weight is 1.50 carats The total jade and diamond weight is 1.92 carats. This ring is in lovely condition ready to gift or to wear.
