WONDERFUL Antique Gold-Filled Onyx, Bloodstone Reversible Fob Locket With Chain

WONDERFUL antique Victorian rose-gold filled carved intaglio, reversible watch fob/locket with nice gold-filled rope chain. This listing features a very nice antique watch fob locket that is 1 1/2" long, including the bail, by 1" wide by nearly 1/2" deep that hangs on a nice antique/vintage gold-filled rope chain that is 21" long. The locket is in very, very nice antique condition. One side is set with a carved intaglio onyx cabochon and the reverse is set with what I believe is a bloodstone cabochon. It is red with green in color and a popular stone for this era.

The locket opens easily and holds firmly when closed. One side of the interior has a nice quilted type background and the other, deeper side is a bit rough, although entirely useable. Both the stones are in excellent condition with no damage, which is surprising.

The metal is also in extremely good condition. This necklace weighs 15.6 grams altogether. Most of the weight is in the locket, which a very hefty piece. The chain is an early piece and is in very good condition, also. It was found with the locket.
