Yin Yang Feng Shui Dragon Phoenix Amulet Pendant Jade Antique Chinese Cameo

Here is a superb late Qing Dynasty 19th Century hand carved jade yin yang amulet. The design here shows the yin yang inside a pearl amidst clouds within which four phoenixes and two dragons have materialized symmetrically left to right.

This jade is a very pale celadon green of lovely translucency with few natural inclusions to the gem material. As it is so translucent it does look a lighter or deeper celadon- the light passing through the amulet makes it look lighter and lying flat of course it looks a little darker in shade. The photos depict these color variations to the gem nephrite chosen for this antique carved pendant.

It weighs approximately 39.6 grams. This antique jade cameo measures approximately 2 3/4" tall by 1 1/8" wide and 1/4 deep (70mm x 28mm x 7mm). It's a very lovely piece ready to gift or to wear in beautiful condition as it was carved. Please note this is a hand carved natural untreated jade amulet there are variations to perfect symmetry in the rectangular outline and design which are beautiful from the hand manufacture, hand carving and hand polishing of this beautiful translucent jade.
